I think that photographers get a bit too interested in the subject of photography. It's all about the gear and the processes and the business and rarely about what matters in the end, the shot. The still. The one that you look at a decade later and get taken back to that spot immediately. The one that gets all the nuances right, the one you can keep looking at, rediscovering little gems of observation and thought in the image. The one that was timed just right. The one that can take you back to a smell, a taste and get you hooked on the feeling, the photograph.
