THE ROAD TO BETTER PHOTOGRAPHY
This is a beginner lecture on understanding how to be a better photographer regardless of what kind of gear or equipment one has.
The learning objective is get comfortable with taking smartphone photography seriously, to think like an artist and apply the basics of traditional photography to the now evolved version of digital smartphone photography. This is a photography talk to inspire and to gain confidence to be creative with the phone as a primary tool for image making.

FASHION 101
Developed for the lovers of fashion portraiture and editorial photography, this workshop includes education, lighting basics and a live demonstration with a professional model where the participants practice on location.
HOW TO PHOTOGRAPH ART
This workshop focuses on providing development of skills to photograph and catalog artwork for archival, commercial and web use. The first half is a a presentation based talk that would include discussing the struggles of documenting art, basic understanding of photography required to build a strong foundation to photograph art at a professional level, tips and tricks to have successful images, understanding light and color and how to edit the images. The participants will be then directed to photograph at least one work of art that we then analyze together to improve on their skillset and mindset towards photography.
SHOOT FROM HOME
In this workshop, participants will get an initiation to creating spaces that enable them to exert control over their image making processes. From shooting portraits, to products, to fine art paintings, learning how to set up spaces where photography can flourish will empower the participants to manage their own image making and learn to create consistency in their work.
ISOLATION WORKSHOP
Based on the idea of staying at home to protect ourselves and our loved ones, this workshop involves 7 creative photo assignments at home. Participants must be willing to try and create, experiment and not be afraid to fail. The workshop will be assignment and critique-based over Zoom, discussing the photographs taken as a group and sharing constructive feedback.

When I contacted Altamash to help out so I can learn about commercial photography, I didn’t expect to learn as much as I did, a part of me was afraid it was going to be the typical assistant job where the photographer wouldn’t bother to teach you but I was wrong.
